CalSouth Vipers Baseball Travel Ball 2020

After a very successful first Travel Ball Season in 2019, we are in the process of working towards forming teams in the U8, U10, U12, U15 Divisions.

Travel Ball is a winter/spring program aimed at improving the skill set of the strongest players in CalSouth Little League. The program is a combination of indoor practices (2 per week most weeks), including fielding, pitching and batting practice, indoor exhibition games, and outdoor games/practices once weather permits. It is expected that most practices and games will take place on weeknights and weekends in Calgary and Okotoks, although we anticipate playing in one or two tournaments out of town as well. Travel Ball is also a great way to extend your player’s season and helps to get them ready for House League & All-Stars.

CalSouth players who are registered for House League Play may register in the appropriately aged division. Subject to having enough qualified players, we may run two teams in each age group, and rosters for games may include players from both teams depending on availability and coaches discretion. Final team structure and numbers are subject to change, based upon coach and player interest and availability.

How It Works:

Once we get the registration numbers, we will hold tryouts for each division. Registration does not guarantee a spot on a team, and there are no fee’s collected at this time. After players are evaluated, the teams and coaches will be set in place and families will be contacted. It is up to each individual coach/team to find practice locations, games, tournaments etc... Each team will be supplied with shirts and hats as well as an equipment bag. The initial cost once on a team will be $200 and that will cover their travel ball shirt and hat. Remaining balances will be put towards tournaments and training costs. Any costs over the remaining balance will be the responsibility of each team to fundraise, or collect from players, or sponsors.
